ECU TUNING (CHIP TUNING)

Hi all, this is my first post in this wonderfull FORUM.
I am working in my garage on GM cars and Fords but I own a BMW Z4 3.0i 2005 wich I love SOOOOOO MUCH,
Well I am wondering if I can find something like EFILIVE which I use to tune the GM cars or Motec & autotronic (mitsubishi and subaro) for real time TUNInG aftermarket ECU ( the problem with Motec and autotronic when I used them on BMW 330is most of the car function don;t work such as A/Cm air bags, seats,windows and almost everything except the engine!!!! can u guys help me out and find something I can tune my self not to take off my Chip (ECU) and ship it all over the world !!! I hope that I am clear, thanks a lot guys
by the way I am going to install the whole ESS superchager kit on my Z4 as soon as I got a reply from the company,,wish me good luck

Afaik, for MS45 (what the Z4 uses), Frieling tool is the only thing you can use on the car for OBD read/write, and it's certainly into the order of several thousands of pounds here in the UK (£3000+ I think with the options you'll want)

CMD BDM is the way to go, just requires ECU removal and cover removal... and iirc again, only 13 writes per chip, then it's de-solder and re-solder a fresh one!


No easy way unfortunately. A cheaper tool may well come out for OBD, or an existing OBD tool for MS43/4 etc updated to cover MS45, but since the MS45 is only in the Z4 (afaik) it's a small market to cater for.
