ECU/DME location

First question.. is the ECU and DME the same device?

Second question.. if they're not the same device, where can I locate the DME? I'm suspecting it has a bad ground connection and want to investigate it.

I think that a ground for the secondary air pump may have gone toast on my DME. What procedure would I take in order to test if this is true? Can I do it with INPA or do I have to test the ground manually on the pinout of the DME?

Some options and info above (similar DME issues not the same as yours however). Replacement info doesn't look cheap. let us know how you get on
