Economy tyres better than RFT's?

A sensible decision.. they're going to feel amazing after run flats 
I would personally never fit economy tyres to any car I was driving - its the single most important component of the car, and the only thing connecting you (and your loved ones) to the road. I have driven some really crap old cars in my time, but they always had good quality tyres on them.
On an actual sportscar, it seems even more crazy to me to cut corners in this area - as you might literally find yourself cutting corners accidentally.

I still have the runflats but they will be gone in 2022 and a decent set of boots added to the car for certain, not that I go far or very fast, just cruise 
The Goodyears feel different, certainly smoother and the car has definitely stopped trying to shake itself to pieces! The steering feels a bit less precise but I guess this is the softer sidewall. Maybe a few more psi will tighten it up a bit.
I have always bought decent tyres on all my cars so not sure what came over me. Maybe it was the thought of throwing away 3 perfectly good tyres, one of which was only 6 months old :x

My Superb Estate came with LandSails on when I bought it. It was bloody awful. They were understeer central, even in the dry. They were noisy and even managed to get the ABS pulsing in the dry pulling up at a set of traffic lights. I still don't understand how I managed to trigger it in the dry, at 30MPH.
Swapped to Goodyears and all the horrible handling traits, noise and poor wet weather performance disappeared. In summary; don't bother
