Did some driving this weekend

The USGP races at Laguna Seca, Monterrey, CA were just great!

Avg 68.1 mph 31.6 mpg 329 miles - headwind some
Avg 70.0 mph 32.6 mpg 368 miles - normal coasting

I guess that the Z4 is an ecomony car.

Hope you had a good time. MPH sounds good. Must have taken alt. route on the way back ( bit longer on the way back ).

To average that speed you must have been traveling a bit quicker or the roads were just wide open.

Where are the pics???????

I routinely get at least 32 mpg running 75 mph on the interstate. I usually LMAO when I hear about those tiny, shoebox cars getting only 1-2 mpg more than I do, and they have half the horsepower and crappy handling.

I'm always telling people if you have to get raped at the pumps for 4.50 a gallon (or more for our overseas friends) you might as well enjoy the ride.

Ah the old fuel economy chestnut. Frankly I've given up looking it makes no difference any longer but it is impressive to see a sports car deliver those figures.

Got my highest priced fuel ever last week on the M40 at £1.36 per litre making an impressive if painful $12.34 per UK Gallon :headbang:

USGP MotoGP pics...

Stops? The gas tank was not empty why stop til it is, Was only 4.5 hour drive. (bit Less) maybe
Lots of CHP were out on the ride home but many more rabbits so I was safe.

Yeah my personal best was around 398 miles to the tank on my way back from Louisiana. I won't lie though, I sure was sweating those last 30 miles. Stopped at the first gas station I saw. It was a real hole in the wall hick place lol but I got gas. My avg miles to the tank were in the 360 range when I filled up, that doing around 75-80mph.

On a 200 mile trip yesterday I got 30.5 with a strong headwind. Then on the way back today on the same route I got 33.6 with a slight tailwind. My speed was fairly consistent both ways (65-72 MPH).
