i found an m bumper on ebay.... great, thought id enquire about endeding the auction early. the seller declined my offer saying he had already been offered more (£125). so i waited, waited a little more and won the bumper for the starting price. £95 posted (cheap yes but the bumper was damaged).i paid for the item.

got home tonight and found out that ive been refunded and the seller has sold outside of the auction, apparently  (at least ive my money)

the seller says he didnt know how to amend the auction or end it early..... its clealy lilsted in ebays very easy to understand help menu and in the 'my ebay' theres clear links that say edit next to your for sale items.....

ive asked the seller if he still has to honour the sale or ill leave neg feedback. the seller has a low score anyway so it will impact him badly.... i know ebay is full of timewasters. but it still made me want to rant.

Same thing happened to me a few years ago. Nothing you can do unfortunately.

nope. and 80 letters max isnt enough for to vent my neg feedback on ebay...but i feel a little better having done it. he has a score of 0% now

he replied to my email and said tough as he wasnt prepared to take my money as it wasnt what he was expecting....

I looked at that item didn't he have zero feedback ??, when i bought my M front bumper the seller said he was inundated with requests to deal outside of the auction.

Just on another note Pablo you need quite a few bits to fit the M bumper too, about 100-110 quids worth IIRC

Interesting in that a 2/3 weeks ago I won an ///M rear bumper on Ebay only to be told by the seller he'd already sold it, but this time that he had sold it outside of auction and he filed a mutual withdrawal form before he even told me!! It was all a bit shady, but I just let it go as I could not be bothered and had lost nothing.

eBay can be a fantastic and enable you to source things that the traditional methods would never see for sale. I've purchased items from France, Germany, US and would never have found them. However as always caveat emptor...

yes i know...thank goodness i hadnt ordered those bits yet!

just looked in my emails.

the seller has sent me messages using offensive and abusive language! :x

ive reported him to ebay...im not going to rise to the juvinle behaviour. my feedback must have had the right effect.

Its not allowed to make deal outside eBay once listed..If you got mails proving that he did that you can have him banned by eBay :D

But he will just open another account 5 minutes later anyway. Looked like he had no feedback score to lose anyway

i know he can easliy make another account but hopefully i loose him the sale of his other items...ebay have been in contact with, ive had to forward them his rude emails

i put one negative feedback on ebay before as buyer never got back to me after winning in two weeks.

then he had the cheek to leave negative on mine!!!

well at least i got the money and sold the item
