OMG, don't know if I should associate with you Chris, are you really a dodgy dealer :P
Can't you just open a new account under another name

They specifically warn you not to make a new account.
It looks pointless too from what I’ve researched, as they invest heavily in preventing ‘dodgy’, as in ‘me’ apparently, traders from returning.

By the way Fred, there’s an issue with that gimp suit I sent you: apparently it was used as a pre-production test model.
Make sure you give it a good rinse out before use eh

Can I order a fake passport, 5 blank credit cards, and some knocked off booze please Chris. Cheers captain, next week will be fine, I’ll meet you at any lay-by to your choice.

Seems a little ironic to me that you believe they have terminated your connection for the way you terminate your connections?

Arf

Seems way OTT to me considering the amount of fake gear on there and dodgy 'UK' addresses when seller is obviously in China
They must be considering it serious to have no interim 'punishment' like a suspendment

Indeed. Straight to execution. No trial. No jury. :x

Was there a risk peeps would think the whole cable was manufactured by that company, therefore being mislead?
No idea. ANything would be pure speculation from this point as they're not even responding to my emails now.

I've been racking my brains trying to think what could possibly have warranted such an extreme and paranoid reaction and maybe it has something to do with an ad I placed for an ultra collectible Walkman:

Anyone who knows about Sony Walkmans (Walkmen?) knows what a TPS-L2 is and how significant it is.
Well, I had one up for sale. Mint condition, boxed, working, all the accessories and even original bill of sale from 1982!
I was asking....well, a lot! A 4 figure sum but out of modesty I won't divulge the actual figure 8)
In any case, I decided not to give the option to pay via paypal as there are a lot of scams and scammers hanging around fleabay. One of those scams is to buy let's say a brand new item of something you already have which may be faulty or not working, exchange it for the one you're buying from ebay and send back the faulty one to the seller. Paypal favours the buyer in 99% of cases and scammers take advantage of this. Hence my decision not to offer it as a buying facilty preferring bank transfer or cash on collection.

Now my wording in that particular advertisement referenced the exclusion of the option of payment via paypal 'due to the large number of scammers active on ebay'. Maybe this has triggered the ebay police into serving up some retribution for me making such a claim on their own platform?
I suppose it's a bit like biting the hand that feeds you in some respects. Piss!ng on your own chips, ad infinitum...

So maybe it's punishment for making that statement?
That's the only other thing I can think of.
:?

I know what you mean about scammers, my son sold an iPod a couple of years ago, perfect working order, the buyer said it was faulty and wanted a refund and returned it, guess what, the iPod never arrived back and the buyer got a full refund from PayPal.

I sold a car stereo ages ago. It worked fine.
Seller gave good feedback, then a week later claimed it didn't work and wanted a refund. I refused as I knew it worked when I sent it...he left good feedback then later says it was broken....so I'm thinking he broke it!

He opened a case and I gave my side of the argument and eBay basically said the ONLY way forward was to refund the buyer! So I instantly broke the link between Paypal and my bank account.

Next I got an email saying they'd refunded the buyer but now can't recover it from my account. I told them to feck off cos I never agreed to the refund and they dropped it.

The good feedback didn't get deleted from my profile, which makes a mockery of the system cos in their eyes I'd sold a duff item!

They definitely favour the buyer though!

How absurd ! Irrefutable proof eBay has outlived it's usefulness. It is the last place I shop for anything. :P
eBay and Paypal, owned by the same company, they are triple screwing you when you sell on eBay.

ebay is a joke, screwing down someones account with no explanation whilst letting repeat con-artist infest the platform with scam add's. For example I've noticed scammers are harvesting listings for premium items and re-using them at ridiculously low prices on profiles with 100% solid feedback histories to scam unwary buyers. The giveaway is when you check other items for for sale and they have several hundred vehicles listed! I've reported these listings several times and ebay lets them stay-up, or immediately reappear with the same pictures and text, it's crazy :x

.......... update, ebay have just messaged me to say this scammer has been identified as someone called Chris

 You do right telling them to go f**k themselves, that’s the least they deserve.

There is probably a very high percentage of people who have used Ebay/Paypal to sell items that have been done over by their system which seems always to favour the buyer. Although this is a good thing where it protects buyers from dodgy sellers it doesnt protect the sellers from dodgy buyers.
A few years ago I sold a set of motorcycle forks and was entirely honest about the condition that they were in with plenty of pictures to show.
The buyer decided after receiving them that he would like a part refund and after a phone call with him where he almost told me that they were bought by mistake he lodged a dispute with Ebay/Paypal. They sided with him and I was forced to refund but he never returned the forks.
I managed to get someone from a bike forum that stayed close to the buyer to collect the forks and to do what he wished with them just so the buyer would not have them.
Whats happened to Chris seems to be way overboard especially without a proper explanation and a chance to change whatever they say he did wrong. Surely you should get a warning?
Have you tried phoning them to get some clarification?
