eBay rims

Has anyone had any experience with ebay rims? THey are around $550-$600 for the set. They are M5 replicas. They are cheap for what they are but do they last? Do they tend to rust or anything?

You'll have to be much more specific, as I'm sure there are about 1,000,000 sellers on there selling wildly different wheels.

If they offer a warrantee then you'd hope they last at least as long as that - otherwise they'd be getting so many returns it wouldn't be worth it to them.

$600 for a set is cheap though, so you wonder where the corners have been cut to save so much money? If you're happy with them only lasting a year then go for them. If they last any longer than that then it's a bonus.

After all, there's nothing to say that they won't last as long as OEM wheels, but I'd guess that's down to how they're treated (e.g. not kerbing/scuffing them, not hitting potholes, not speeding over speed bumps, etc.).

yea, i dont see any warranty information on any of the ebay rims I've come across. But then again, my Z4 is garaged 5/7 days a week and driven very little.

Agree - e bay is just a portal for sellers. Do your homework,pick the right seller and you can get a good set of wheels.
