I've been looking at one of these for my space grey e89, but not sure if they're crap or not. Anyone got experience with these? From what I've read once they're heated up the mould pretty well. My car is going in to have the roof done high gloss black so thinking this might complement well

Decent one I saw from Germany: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/For-BMW-Z4-E89-Rear-Spoiler-Lip-Apron-Diffuser-Wings-Vehicle-Demolition-Edge/142774656456?hash=item213e085dc8:g:RK8AAOSw7L1Zzgf4:rk:1:pf:1&frcectupt=true

Cheaper one from Taiwan, a snip at £38: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Painted-Black-For-BMW-Z4-E89-Roadster-09-17-Boot-Lip-Spoiler-R-Type/201831423532

They are a mixed bag, difficult to judge unless you see one in the flesh, so a bit of a lucky dip...the current one I have won’t take paint properly, keeps bubbling up...so ordered a new one that was recommended by Steve Smith on his 28i...

Awaiting that then will repaint...hopefully will be lighter and will take the paint..

I think the E89 needs something on its bottom...

I love the E85 duck tails but they don’t do a nice one for the E89 AFAIK..

I have this one : https://www.ebay.com/itm/Carbon-Fiber-Rear-Trunk-Spoiler-Wing-Factory-Fit-for-BMW-Z4-E89-Z-Series-09-15-/112087501270?txnId=1912354609001

It fits perfectly, no moulding needed.

Cheers.

I'm probably going to go with the more expensive German one which is already painted glass black so hopefully it'll be of decent quality!

That looks like the same type that I have now on order

So I bought one, genuine CF: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Real-Carbon-Fiber-Ducktail-Boot-Lip-Spoiler-Trunk-Lid-BMW-Z4-Z4M-E89-Z-Series/113005599699

They were trying auction one instead of Buy It Now so I got it for £80 with free p+p :driving:

Really impressed by this spoiler. Fit is 100% perfect, it’s still on there a year later.

I'm still planning on buying that front splitter of yours!

This arrived this morning. The quality of the CF is exceptional. Will do a test fit on my lunch break :driving:

I really like this design, but not a big fan of CF. Wonder if it can be found in gloss black (without painting a CF version)?

Well, it's been manufactured to fit like a glove!

That would be my preference too, never liked raw carbon on a car, bike yes :) You could always get it wrapped, but seems silly to pay CF prices.

Same with the carbon side-skirts available.

Any chance of a photo from above please? I'm not convinced I'm going to keep the one I just bought

I've decided this isn't for me so if anyone wants it for £80 delivered before I return it let me know

Hi Greg, you going for the Black wrap roof then like me ?
I've also thought about a rear spoiler to compliment the roof but not sure which one. I like the ones with the dip in the middle to clear the boot break light.

Greg, can you post some more pictures of yours please. I have same colour of car and was looking at that spoiler but from that picture it looks slightly odd above the light. Was looking for something that fitted flusher.

I've added a couple more pics on a for sale thread...
