Give it 30 mins after you've disconnected the battery, and put the airbag under the car whilst you work on the steering wheel. Safest place for it to be should it accidently go off. It is basically a bomb after all.

Check for the how to though - really helped me.

you haven't filled me with confidence for removing that now when my wheel gets sent back in a week or so :roll:

Always pays to be wary... Been done a thousand times by people on here with no issue (including me), but a good mechanic mate of mine says treat it with kid gloves and don't f**k about when handling it (hence the put it under the car comment) which seems like sage advice to me.

Circumstances have changed so i'm no longer going to need/install the wheel so if anyone is after an M Sport non MF wheel drop me a PM

Have not opened it its packaged up as it arrived to me, all pics will be on ebay listing on page one.

Change of plan again, couldn't resist opening up the wheel and it is in exceptional condition and I can't resist fitting it. So....Sorry I'm keeping it for now but when I come to sell the car I will remove it

I'm not sure haha

Turns out that the wheel is broken so can't even fit it correctly!

The airbag doesn't sit flush after clipping into the wheel so I thinking something is defective inside the wheel maybe something has bent when the airbag went off of something from the salvage car!

Will have to try and send it back
