On asking a buy it now the seller sends me a price. I responded as interested but would like to view then do a deal. I hear nothing..
Five days pass then I message him again. I received a template email while I think know was sent out round Robin to others too? I replied mentioning the previous correspondence and he says to make a formal offer? Basically bid..
I bid and then suddenly there's other bids too, from zero feedback erstwhile and one other, Speedbird230..
I win the auction although I am suspicious of the possibility of shill bidding..
I ask the seller for their address and the say to pay first! Not looking to good. I explain I'd prefer to see it first.
I managed to see it and it's got scratches and is dumped on the floor..
The seller is trying to play it down and saying he's an eBay virgin etc. Attempted to negotiate a deal based on their previous offer to me but not going anywhere
Today I now see it relisted with the same no pictures tactic.. Digging a bit more its Speedbird230 whose selling it!
So it's clear some shill bidding was going on between the two as they know each other (might be the son) as now it's being sold by the bidder from the previous auction that was bumping my bids up! The seller says selling from my 2004 Z4 which is the original sellers car.
All I can say folks is they are trying to scam you.. Out of principle I wouldn't give them the satisfaction no matter what price...
I think the original seller was pissed off with me because I sussed him out...
