Ebay diagnostics software and cable advice?

Firstly sorry if this is not the correct area for this! I have tried the search with no luck.

I am currently trying to install the ebay software (SSS, TIS etc..) the one with the blue cable off of ebay that many members on here have. Due to the size of it I am worried it will slow my laptop down too much, has anyone ever tried to install it to a USB memory stick if so is it just as easy to do that as it is to install it to the laptop? I'm not great with computers!

Depends on the specification of your machine - disk size, amount of free ram etc. What machine are you planning on installing it to?

Installing to USB has the potential to slow it down. No reason why it wouldn't work, except you would need to "lock" the USB to a drive letter.

Running it off a USB stick (even if possible) will definitely be slower than installing it as intended. The USB throughput will be much less than a hard disk. Best just to install as per the instructions.
