eBay Breaking z4 for spares?

Out of sheer curiosity I messaged the seller asking why it was cut in half and scrapped, I had a one word reply "vandalism" :o

Someone joked that it may have been a divorce 'split' or ultimate jealous wife job but f!!k me cutting a car in half is real spiteful!

A woman scorned and all that, I knew a couple a few years back who were getting divorced and where the wife cut everything in half so anything is possible :cry:

Just out of pure curiosity I rang these up today for some prices..

£190 for the back box.....

£750 for the wheels..... :o :o :o

thought they was very well over priced, you can probably get a back box made for £200-£250 and the wheels need a re-furb too on top of the price....so I reckon I'll be giving these a miss... :thumbsdown:

Or am I just being tight....
 
108s are very expensive to re-furbish, assuming you have them split and done professionally. Lessons will charge at least £400 to do them IIRC. So unless the tyres are top of the range & brand new with 8mm of tread I don't think you're being tight at all.

Back boxes, no idea - but their price is cheaper than your brand new price... Unless you're suggesting the one you could have made would be better.
 
I was after a back box to chop up and remove some of the internals/re-build in less restrictive fashion (to release some more of that straight six noise). But not at that price.....
 
Considering the car, with sever flimper spec as well, would have been worth £2.5k or so if it was a nice driving condition, those spare costs are way, way over valued.

I agree, i was going to ask if it was made of gold or a celebrity had touched it, but i thought better of it :roll:
