Easter Eggs Topic?

Just a suggestion, but what about an Easter Eggs Topic?
Just a list of cool things that are not necesarily obvious on the Z4 that newbies or otherwise might not have discovered or realised were there.

Similar to this thread from our borthers and sisters at E46 Fanatics:

Doesent matter if only some specs or models have the function, its sometimes fun to see if your car does or doesent.

Forgive me if its been done before and I've missed it on my search.

On the Coupe, I didn't know there was a place to insert the key in the BMW logo on the boot lid until I read it on here!! :oops:
 
Yeah, its that sort of thing that sometimes you just dont notice until you read it.
Someone might not even notice they have nets behind the seats, or stuff you can do with the audio or sat nave system etc.
The example from the other forum is right on the money!
If we collate enough Ill put them together in a single post or something.

OK a simple starter - if you flash the headlights with the key OUT of the ignition they function as 'walk me home' lights

One quick press to Unlock and Second Long press to Open roof does mine...

But I'll raise you.. a hidden Perspective (3d) View on the Pro Satnav..
Leaving an Indicator on lights a sidelight (front and back).. not really an easter egg but again hadn't noticed until the other day.

For a Z4 newbie such as myself, it would be an excellent thread that should be done as a sticky topic.

On my zed you only have to press and hold the button once and the doors open and the hood and windows go down...
 
It must be pointd out that some of these functions require car/key programming by the dealer as well as age of the car being taken into account
 
agreed.
but isnt it fun to see if your car will or wont do these things?
Or maybe find out that it can be programmed to if it doesent already?

When you tap the indicator stalk (so that it doesn't click on) it flashes 3 times and then stops. Without that function switched on it stops as soon as you release the stalk - so a quick tap would be 1 flash. :thumbsup:
 
The "triple flash" is a pretty cool little gimmick... the dealer programmed mine for free whilst having some warranty work done. I do wish it flashed 4 or 5 times, though... Other drivers aren't always so attentive.

My dealer told me it couldn't be done. Anyone know the programming codes?
