Hi, seeing as no one cares enough to buy me farkle for my zed I purchased a zhp gear changer from forum member "tonyp" (cheers Tony) I took a few pics-
Before, showing old & new

I was told the easiest way to remove the unwanted old one was to open the roof and stand each side of the centre consel, as it was persisting down with rain I decided against this so used plan B.
Luckily having the strength of a grizzly bear I was able to exert enough force to pull off the old one just before I pulled the gearbox up through the floor.......

new zhp looking very smart indeed, just pushes on & "clicks" as you push it a little harder

You can see from the picture the relative heights, I've just got to try it out now
Cheers Santa!

Lovely addition. I broke the plastic innards of my ZHP when removing the centre console, so has to buy another as I couldn't live with the original walking stick.

At least you did not do what another forum member did, and pressed to hard on the gear lever that it snapped a linkage in the gearbox ...

Very nice, looks as though the shorter lever will make gear changes even more fun. I have got the auto tiptronic which I have added paddle shift to. I also retro fitted cruise control and enjoy the ability to cruise in auto for a relaxing drive or flicking over to the paddles for a hoon. Still miss the sheer driver involvement of manual at times though.

Fitted it, washed both our zeds & spent the afternoon sulking indoors from the rain at smartbear towers.
I should have gone out as I'm spending a fortune on eBay
Regards

Glad it turned up ok - albeit a day later than hoped, it looks so much better than the OEM gearknob.

The question is did you manage to remove the old one without nearly giving yourself a black eye?!
When i changed mine the sudden release caught me a little be surprise!!
