Early morning z4mr drives......

Beedub

Lifer
 Sutton Coldfield
This year with the improvement of health and continued cancer free status ( thankyou Jesus appreciating every single day ) I vowed to enjoy life abit more and try to work less.

So this was one of many early starts with the boys , this 5am trip was a 5 hour round trip , snaking round the Cotswolds, ending up the the awesome piston club ( the stag pub). What a venue , this is going to really take alot of business from caffeine and machine in 2024 not to mention it's cost free.

The little z4m contines bring a smile to my face and also scare the crap out of me at the same time. Testing the car for the first time on its new advan rs-df mold forged wheels which weight a stonking 13kg LESS that the M3 v8 wheels before them, seen here in the special ordered machined clear finish with hyper black centres, the quality of these wheels and details are insane. I adore them, but most of all some benefits of loosing all that unsprung rotational mass became apparent and a very spirited back road section. The 350z in this case is a very capable vehicle. We both had a lot of fun pushing these cars to a safe road limit where possible.

Quite a few pinch me moments on this drive and half a tank of fuel obliterated. Enjoying Octobers Warmer weather.

I thought I got up early today at 7! 5 is serious commitment. :o

Great to know you are still loving your MR Byron. My MC still puts a smile on my face whenever I use it - maybe we should get them on prescription?

That looks like a brilliant venue - shame I'm not a bit nearer, but it would be a good venue to drive to next summer. Would a Z4 meet be possible maybe?

So good to be out enjoying driving and life. Great to hear and great photos Byron.

Only half a tank though, light weight.

Hey Byron, it’s great to hear that you’re feeling so much better and able to enjoy life to the full again :driving:

Just wonderful Beedub.

Glad you are doing well and enjoying the roadster therapy. I had a battle with the big C and roof down S54 noises really did offer some welcome relief, when I was able.

All the best.

Good stuff all round 8)

Has much been done to the 350? The engine bay looks like it’s got a bit going on.

the 350 is pretty heavily worked on, a fair few engine mods, top end suspension, good tyres etc.... we did a few pulls but stopped after a couple of goes as it wasn't a fair pairing, however a V8 engined one is coming to regain their crown, looking forward to a few runs with it.

Loved reading your post Byron and great news about your health.

I see that your a Sutton Coldfield lad. So between you, Wassup and me that's 3 forum members from this smallish town, then I know of a couple more local owners although not sure if they're forum members - who knew that Sutton was the mecca for Z4M's??
