Early Christmas present to me

Its the silver grill, every time. Doesn't matter the colour of the car itself, they all look fabulous with that grill...cos we all know what that means.

Beautiful car mate. That grill and white is just fantastic, a real class look about it with a hint of glitz....and with those extras you've gotta be looking at one of the best Z4s out there I reckon.

You're gonna love it! :D

Thanks and you're so right. I remember the first time I drove a 35iS a three or so years ago I knew I had to have one. I liked the 23 but the iS is a whole different car. I'm pleased that I'm now able to own one as I don't need a daily driver.

I feel like a giddy child on Christmas Eve. Tuesday seems so far away but I'll manage.

Welcome to the 35is group, I am sure you won't regret it I have had mine over a year now and still have a massive smile on my face ever time I look at the car and more so when driving her. Enjoy.

I noted you had a 23 as well. The description in your signature was pretty much my observation from 23 to 35.

I pick her up tomorrow (Monday) night. I've never looked forward to a Monday as much as I am now. :roundel:

The 35i/35is have silver grilles, the other Z4s generally have black grilles, so it's a subtle way of identifying the more powerful models. Additionally if it has silver mirror covers it's a 35is (unless it's Valencia Orange).
I don't think there's any technical reason to swap the aerial it's more of an aesthetic decision. The standard whippy does look a bit incongruous and a stubby looks neater.
I was going to joke about it being better when you went through an automatic car wash but I didn't want to shock too many people...
Cheers, Dave

Only a few more hours to go, I will be interested to see what you think after your first run, especially with the gearbox. Have fun.

Holy crap this is one fun car. Had a boring drive home In rush hour from the dealer so we went out on a semi spirited* midnight run to Tesco and back to get some 99 RON.

Just a little tap on the accelerator and that roar of the engine. Wow, I'm hooked. Looking forward to getting a longer drive in tomorrow.

Overall the car is in great condition. Noticed the 'S' is missing from the badge on the passenger side. Feel a bit OCD about it but I won't sweat it. Might have to just debadge it to get some symmetry

Proper pics to follow when it isn't dark. In the meantime I've included some photos of the M3 championship edition I nosed around when I was at the dealer.

*temps are hovering around 0°.

Just run mine on the lower 95 RON after not feeling any difference between the two in performance or MPG. Don't feel as guilty letting the horses loose a bit more often either.

Have fun as I'm sure you will. the smile will be the same well past Christmas

Brilliant colour choice, but I would say that. Sure you will love every drive and get addicted to making pops bangs and the occasional out of the blue gunshot!

Interesting, I thought the higher RON was preferred for turbo engines. I definitely didn't buy this car for the fuel economy.

I love the Mineral White but it already needs a wash. I can't take any proper photos until she's clean again!

I'm finding all kinds of excuses to pop out in the car now. Even braved a weeknight trip to IKEA. :o

I'm sure someone on the forum more experienced about this sort of thing will post something to resolve the issue

If they do they will be the first !

It's on forced induction engines that higher Ron fuel has been proven to have the greatest effect, less so on normally aspirated engines. All engines benefit from the higher detergent qualities though
