Hi all - so I have an e91 as my daily why the ///MC sleeps for a bit 
So my rear tailgate doesn't open so had an auto electrician spend a coupe of hours to find the dodgy wiring. Usual area in the boot hinge area were damaged but not broken, so they were repaired but still no joy.
He fed 12v into the solenoid and hey presto the tailgate window opens!
This allows us to get at the diversity unit and it seemingly looked ok. But I didn't take it apart.
From my key fob when I press and hold the boot release for the 2nd time the boot cover slides up but nothing from the boot switch
Any ideas?
Read up on diversity unit problems and I'm not sure if this is the root of my issues or not. Reason being is that symptoms of a water damaged one are faulty central locking, weak fm, non existent AM, tailgate opening by itself and clock resetting. Out of all of these I just have weak FM - rest is fine including AM - in that I can pick up 909 and 606 and others clearly
