E9 3.0 CSL Batmobile - Value?

I visited the St James Concours of Elegance yesterday to gawp at some beautiful cars. There were some great cars kicking around, billed as 60 of the world's rarest. The Porsche 917, Ferrari 250 GTO Scaglietti 64 C, 1937 Horch 853 Voll & Ruhrbeck Sport Cabriolet were my favourites.

Anyway, sitting outside in the general parking (I say general, you had to apply and if the panel decided your car was interesting enough they'd let you park) was an E9 3.0 CSL Batmobile.

I've never seen one in the flesh before, but wow what a car. As I'm sure we all like to do, I've tried having a look for one in the classifieds but to no avail.

Does anybody have any idea what they sell for? I'm guessing north of £100k, but would love to hear from a more informed source.

What, do you mean one of these.... :?

I walked passed one of these (E9 3.0L CSL) in Sydney a few days ago - it was absolutely immaculate and looked like it had just left the showroom. I didn't realise quite how valuable they are now, probably even more on Oz as all cars are really expensive.

That's the one, the batmobile, rather than the standard 3.0 CSL variant.

I've a photo on photobucket to upload, but it's not playing ball for some reason. I'll upload as soon as I can.

The standard 3.0 CSLs seem to be going for the £40k mark. Just wandering what premium is involved to get the batmobile.

I was looking at them a few years ago (saw one parked near my house once exactly as in the link above).

Around 60k they were (for my dad obviously not me). In the end we decided the maintenance on top and impracticality of the size was not worth the investment. But if I had £3mill I'd have one in one of my garages for sure.

So here is the one from yesterday (apologies for the goon blocking the view)

Absolutely love it, I'll be starting a £60k savings pot then.

And for good measure here is the 250 GTO Scaglietti 64 C

St James' Park London - follows on from the event in Windsor last year for the Jubilee- long term plan is to develop an event which rivals Pebble Beach , I believe.
