E89 Z4 3.0 Boot Lid stuck closed HELP!

Hi guys I was doing some work on the Z4. Closed the boot lid and now its stuck closed. When I open the badge there are no noises or signs of it trying to release. There is a flashing red light on the roof button as well. When I hooked up my Autel scanner it mentions -

CTM (Convertible Top Module) Code 00A690 - micro switch, left end module closed - status - present. :-?

I have tried to activate with my Autel the soft close motor open and it opens but after half a second the boot lid is pulled closed again. This does not give me enough time to go into JBE to release the lock on the boot lid. The first time I tried releasing the soft close motor it stayed unlocked but my scanner could not seem to unlock the second stage latch on the JBE module.

Is there a manual way of getting the boot lid open? The ski hatch is open.

Have a read of this post.

You can open the boot by bridging fuse number 12 in the fuse box. Although getting the fuse box open can be a feat in itself.

Pull cable is only useful if you have access to trunk from the front cabin. Can't you just go into the JBE module to trigger the boot with the Autel? Pin 12 works, but is a pain to get to, unless your agile.

If you do the microswitch, do both sides. Here is a tutorial, it's easy.

When releasing the soft close it kept closing its self straight after. There is an error when trying to release the lock in the JBE
