Snapped at lights between Morecambe & Lancaster., unusual wheel choice I've not seen before but I thought they looked really well on the black E89.

That does sit well with those on I agree.

He needs a rear centre cap though, and I've got a pack somewhere that I haven't used that I could give him! :D

Haha, yes I noticed the missing wheel centre as we rolled to a halt.

Well, as luck would have it, I’ve just picked up a freshly refurbished set of 19” genuine M3 wheels. There’s only three in the photos but I do have all 4 and was going to take some proper photos and post an advert on the weekend.

I’d be looking for £450 and specs are
8.5Jx19 ET23 fronts
9.5Jx19 ET27 rears
All immaculately finished in Matt black powder coating

Id be quite interested in these but I’m a complete novice when it comes to cars. How do you go about switching the tyres and wheels on an e89 28i? Also do you have to do any reconfigurations for the sensors and stuff?

It depends what wheels you have as to whether or not you can just flip the tyres over. These are 19" but 8.5 & 9.5J wide, which may be a little wider than standard 8 & 9J wheels by half an inch each.

Most BMW's run on wheel rotation sensors rather than a TPMS in the wheel, so its just a matter of bolting the new wheels on.

You'd just need to take these wheels to a tyre fitter and either flip your current tyres off of your existing wheels on to these , or buy new tyres, than they'll balance them and bolt them on the car. Simples !

Interesting. How much do you reckon the tyres would be as I’m pretty sure I’ve just got The oem (pictured)? Also what’s your opinion of resale value for my currents ones?

Sorry for all the questions! Like I said pretty new to this and not quite sure how to find out. I had to google what all the letters/numbers meant on my tyres 😂

I believe those are 290 style wheels and most likely 18" so the tyres wont flip across. Depending on the life left in the tyres and if the wheels aren't kerbed and in need of a refurb you'd maybe get c£400 for them.

I'd say budget £350-£400 for a complete set of decent non runflats tyres to go on the M3's.

Thanks for the info. Something to definitely mull over. I think I may have to wait a payday or two though! Best of luck selling them and I’ll maybe give you a message later on if you’ve not already sold them

Are these the MV2 wheels available for the previous generation?

They look really good.
