E89 with collapsed wheel

Saw an E89 in white in Ickenham, Middlesex, it looked like the front offside wheel had hit something or just collapsed resulting in damage to the front of the car. Looked like a lady owner who was talking to the pickup truck. A real shame I wonder what happened?

Well its all just further fuel for the fire :fuelfire:

I have already taken legal advice at several stages whilst I am currently putting this all into a proper case file and preparing for action, so BMW if you are out there listening, you may want to pre empt action by just recalling these dangerous and faulty wheels prior to this landing on your desk.

BMW need to recall these wheels ASAP, and upgrade anyone that has had the nightmare of them cracking, bending and snapping, like numerous forum members if not nearly all with the 296's. As well as refund those of us that have paid out for replacement wheels, tyres, tracking, labour, hassle....it goes on you know.

I mean for goodness sake do they not care about their reputation

Not that it should really make any difference, but It's not like it's a performance vehicle after all :exitright:

I'm getting so cheesed off with:
Having to constantly monitor air pressures that seem to drop every few days
Dealing with faulty equipment on the vehicle and the threat of all the other known faults (if you have experienced the HPFP issue and power loss then you will understand, especially if you were on a cliff edge on a mountain pass at the time)
Putting up with tyres wearing in strange and excessive ways (at £400 a pop)
Enduring the cost of paying for tracking and wheel balancing regularly when BMW should pay for it due to the utterly useless and dangerous wheels they have supplied ;
oh look another wheel has completely cracked;
oh look another one has done the same;
oh look the tyre insurance doesn't cover this or that when the tyre damage is due to the cracked wheel for example
oh look the dealer has an issue with the car and cant fix it.....
you mean I have to get in contact with Germany MYSELF again.....
on and on it goes

I am now a smidgen off changing this and trading it in for the Aston Martin I didn't go for because I thought it would not have been as reliable as a BMW...what a joke!
