E89 Wheels

Going to be buying an E89 quite soon and deffo do not want 19inch wheels
Previous Zed had 17inch daisys and with normal tyres it was quite a comfortable ride which is what I am looking for
I know the E89 had 18 inch as standard but can I put 17's on?
Has anyone done this? Bit bonkers I know but there we are lol!

yes I know people have fitted 17" wheels as winter wheels so it must be possible

Yep, many e89's came with 17 inch wheels - my first one did and it was very comfortable (with SE suspension, which I think made a big difference too).

Style 290 is what I had, they're £350 brand new for a set on ebay.

I believe the standard wheel ( non msport ) was 17 inch style 290.

Depends which E89 and which 17” wheel…for example 103 Daisys will not work with the 330mm calipers fitted to 28i and 30i versions..

35i/35is have larger discs and I think 18” is the minimum size for them..

I've got 17inch 292's on mine. They look OK but I'm looking to go to 18's. It seems the 19's are always cracked.

It still looks good on 18s. These were the launch wheels. Style 293. Had 19 style 296 before but rears had several repairs and were no longer safe. Ride was much harsher as well..

Style 290 wheels were an original fitment and are probably the cheapest option.

I had a set on my E90 because they looked much better than what it came with, but I really struggled to sell them earlier this year!

Taking delivery of my E89 tomorrow. I'd be interested in your 292's if they become available. I've got 18 inch wheels but I think they are
standard fitment

i'd be looking at selling them once i've found a set to replace them. they'll need new rear tyres soon and although the face of them are quite good the paint is not good on the barrels.
