If my wheel is repairable I'm going to replace the tyres with non r/f.Busterboo said:Condolences, Greg. What are you going to do? Replace the lot?

good choice, will certainly minimize the risk of cracking over runflats.greg1953 said:YDB said:Id be interested to hear what non run flats you get and what you think. I also have 19" wheels and am considering the change prior to next rego check.
Goodyear F1, fitted next Wednesday, £589 from Black Circles, I'll let you know what they're like, ATS doing the fitting.

But large consensus obviously that R/F's and cracked rims is a little more than coincidental. I swapped from the PZero R/f to the f1's. Much better ride and definitely more confidence in pushing on a bit!![]()
No cracks at the moment... Touch wood!

I have Eagle F1's on my 19" 326s (non RF) and before that Pirelli P Zeros (non RF). Touch wood thats been 4 years and the alloys seem ok, I remember hitting a pothole with the rear and it was bad enough to create a bulge in the tyre (new tyre :x) but the alloy was ok.
Had the Goodyears on for a few weeks now and it's certainly quieter and definitely a smoother ride, I've just done two long trips and quite a bit on rough roads so I'm going to take the wheels off at the weekend and check for cracks.YDB said:Id be interested to hear what non run flats you get and what you think. Sounds like a no brainer really. Im yet to read a post where someone says they are going back to run flats. Hope the wheels were ok and thanks for replying.greg1953 said:Had the Goodyears on for a few weeks now and it's certainly quieter and definitely a smoother ride, I've just done two long trips and quite a bit on rough roads so I'm going to take the wheels off at the weekend and check for cracks.YDB said:Id be interested to hear what non run flats you get and what you think.
