My E89 was a non iDrive, I seem to remember setting locks and lights in the on board computer using the stick on the the column. I may be confused , it's an age thing
Are those 296 rims, if so get rid of the runflats if they are still on it. The ride will be 100% better and the rims have a better chance of not cracking. ( 296's had a history of cracking with rft's on them and the softer sidewalls of the normal tires seemed to cut the failure rate down a lot. I suggest not going with max tire pressures unless you are fully loaded)

Ps: I had auto lights so I left them switched on Auto all the time, the timers turned everything off later.
