Hi Folks. Im looking for a well cared for straight 6, E89. If you are considering selling or can point me towards a good one then please do get in touch.
Must haves:
Good service history or maintenence file.
Max 80,000 miles
Good general condition
I drive (Sat Nav)

Probably prefer auto but ok with manual.
Colour: ideally white with red leather
Also Met Grey with red leather
Met Blue with beige/cream leather
Burnt Orange
Ill consider Any colour as condition is more important to me.

Im based near Glasgow but happy to travel for the right car. (My last car came from Dorset!)

Orange was never available on the 30i

I’d not get hung up on the mileage…buy on condition

Was it available on the 23i?
I see a lot of cars on offer with well over 100k miles which is reassuring re reliability.
However, I don't want a car that looks tired inside which may be an issue with a high mileage one. I believe the switch gear can suffer and bolsters get worn over time.
 
Bolsters providing the leather is sound is an easy fix with water based leather dye (after cleaning/prep)

I had some minor wear to the drivers seat on the bolsters and it is back as it should be with the leather dye.

Yes, they can send messages directly (DM).
You will get an email notification and at the top of the screen you will see an envelop to the right of your name. This will also tell you that you have a message.
And don't worry about not being used to the tech. Many of us are old enough to remember learning to drive in the days when tech was a casette player AND AM/FM radio :giggle:

Valenica Orange was 2013 MY onwards 18i, 20i, 28i, 35i and 35is

A cassette player, You were lucky! There were 6 of us in a morris Oxford driving from Scotland to Cornwall, not a seat belt in sight and my parents smoking more than the car! We had to play I Spy to keep ourselves amused!

I think it depends on how many posts you have done? Or that may be just sending PMs rather than receiving any. Whoever contacts you check their profile etc
 
You need to have made 5 posts to send PMs, so Snowcol will be fine. I don't think there is any minimum requirement to receive them.

My 2010 23i in Deep Sea Blue over Beige is listed on Autotrader for the private sale valuation figure they provided but obviously I'd consider a discount on the asking price for a forum member.

Realised I never followed up with a progress thread for #32 following the sale of my previous E89 but a lot has happened since then so here goes. No sooner had I listed #31 on eBay than someone contacted me from Peebles near Edinburgh desperate to purchase the car the following day. I hadn't...

Folks, many thanks for your help and advice. The search has now concluded with me finding a near pristine 2011, 23i with 68000 miles. It has a full service history, long mot, sat nav with mr12volt so android auto is in there, cruise, heated seats and it's white with Coral Red leather.
Only thing I need to do is get the wheel colour changed from black to Silver or maybe anthracite Grey.
Really enjoyed the drive back to Scotland from london too.
Now looking forward to some tinkering and long summer road trips !

Sounds good and being a 2011 model it's likely a Highline edition - have fun 👍

Sounds nice but, but, but, where's the photo? ;)
Car sounds similar to mine. (Silver with Coral red)
Did you end up with a manual or auto?
Make sure you join https://www.facebook.com/groups/z4ownersscotland if not already. There's a good bunch of owners up in this neck of the woods.
Ref your wheels, shadow chrome is a nice option between original silver and anthracite if you're hankering towards slightly darker than OEM finish.

23i is a great car, sounds nice. If you're looking for a wheel refurb and near Hamilton try Wheel Wizards and ask for Stewart. They've done my wheels for years :thumbsup: As Stuart says join the Z4 Owners Scotland Facebook page

Hi - great to hear there are a few other Z4 enthusiasts north of the border. I am getting the wheels refurbed on Monday as well as the back bumper resprayed to take care of a very minor parking indiscretion by a previous owner. Just had a chap round to quote for machine polish and ceramic coating. I can update you on how that goes if interested. He is Cumbernauld based but travels, in case anybody else is thinking of getting that done. Thanks for the heads up re the FB group too - I will get on it!
