E89 vs E85 Boot Space

I was up in Bude for a surf yesterday. When I go for a surf, I have to put my 43inch body board in the passenger seat, as there is no way it will fit in the boot. Just after I arrived, a 3.0i E89, the same colour as my M, pulled up next to me. With his roof up. Nice looking Z. Natualy we started chatting and I then realised he and his mate had their body boards in the boot. Ok you can't put the roof down, but I was well impressed.

Would your board fit in a non ///M E85 though?

It's a quite a useful boot on the E89 ( roof up :) ) but slightly awkward as not fully square but helpful as its fairly deep, which I found out when I lost a scotch egg which had rolled to the back. I noticed after a month :?

Lol I only realised as it began too whiff, like strong damp dog smell, I thought at first I had a leak in the boot and felt the back of the boot and picked up a handful of rotting egg :o luckily it was still in its package :)

To my mind, there is just one downside of e89...

Used to be able to fit 2 golf bags and have the roof down in the e85. Now I can only fit ONE BAG WITH THE ROOF UP and even then only if I take out my drivers first.

But it is worth it.

I don't Know, I suspect not . I don't think it's as wide as the E89. Could be wrong though. :?

I can't put a hard cased rifle in the boot of my e89 anytime, roof up or down, I can put it through the ski bag pass through with the roof down. I could put two rifles crosswise in my Z3 with the roof down. They AVG. about 44"long and it works OK in a soft case, I never tried putting anything in the E85 we had, it was the GF's so no guns or clubs allowed.

The best boot of all was the Z3.

I find the passenger seat so much easier 8)

LoL  I can just imagine trying that in the UK. You'd be Locked up before you got off your drive.

Must visit Canada sounds like a 8) place.
