E89 trim cover for retractable hardtop

Looking for the missing bracket if anyone happens to have one spare or alternatively the whole assembly if cheap enough.

Good suggestion.
I'd also consider maybe washers to stop the cable ties pulling into the material?
Or something to spread the contact area.

Just a random thought, but something like the side cut out of a plastic milk bottle, long enough to fold round the bar, holes top and bottom, then cable ties round the lot. Bit Heath Robinson, but a strong enough repair until you can fix it properly.

Rob, I'm sure Pbondar would shudder at the thought of me bodging an aircraft that way. Definitely not in accordance with EASA!
Though you'd be a little surprised at some of the 'adaptations' we signed off for 'one flight only' back in 90/91 when old Saddam was being a pesky nuisance :roll:
