E89 Suede accents - Cleaning solutions?

59,900 miles of seat seat belt rubbing has discoloured this part of the seat. The passenger side has similar but not quite as bad. I've used a light fabric cleaner which has removed some staining but now think it'll maybe need a colour dye treatment or the likes as perhaps the suede material itself is becoming a bit threadbare of sorts. Has anyone had the same issue and could recommend a solution?
If not, I'm sure some sort of furniture repair specialist will be able to do something with it.

You want to buy some Woolite detergent from the Supermarket. I used the pink one.

Dilute about 1 to 5 with water. Make it stronger or weaker if needed. Use a toothbrush to scrub and a heavy damp towel to wipe it off.

When dry, the next day, use sand paper to remove the puckered fabric. I think I used 800 grit but start at 1500 and work up grades towards 800 if needed.

It's not suede! It's Alcantara (I believe), an expensive cloth developed in Japan.

Alcanatara's more fragile than suede and once damaged is hard to restore.

That said, Usel's treatment looks superb and just right for the job.

Had a go this morning and it seems to have removed the staining without damaging the material at all so no sandpaper required hopefully.
Superb advice. Thanks for that.

Usels recommendation went down a treat. Great advice.

Glad it worked for you

I'd recommend getting these to help protect the alcantara:

https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00JGUNPNE?ref_=pe_27063361_487360311_302_E_DDE_dt_1

Alcantara loves to soak up grime and grease so I use the covers to help keep it clean.

Woolite is also great at cleaning leather. Better than any marketed off the shelf leather cleaner. Make sure to use a leather protector cream. I use the furniture clinic one. Think of the cream more as a wax to protect the paint like on the exterior of your car. Apply it every 3 months or depending on how often you use the car adjust the length of application.

A footnote about the Alcantara.

Whatever you do, be gentle with it. You won't be able to undo your own damage.

Use seatbelt covers to protect the Alcantara sections as much as possible.

And use M&S 'softtouch' wet wipes for light dirt.
