E89 steering wheel with paddle shifts

I suspect the paddle-shift conversion won't be easy (or even possible), but would certainly be expensive!
You should be able to retrofit a paddle shift steering wheel as long as the loom and connectors are there, which they may be. I don't know if any prefacelifts came with paddles :?
However, I am sure that retrofitting an e89 steering wheel has been discussed on here before, and that the general conclusion was that it couldn't be done because of the wiring being different. Also some of the buttons being redundant. So you'd need an e85/86 one I think.
