E89 Seat removal?

Trying to find a ‘how to guide’ for electric seats removal on the E89.

The main thing I can’t seem to find is: how to remove the plastic trim that covers where the seat belt connects to the seat.

Sorry, I don’t really understand.

This circled thing?

But you can’t see it with the seat in-situ? Put the screwdriver through and move it which way? Thanks.

Ok….found a video of a guy doing it on an E90 on YouTube. (Search YouTube: E90 seat belt removal)

Now I understand!

1) Put the seat back as far as you can to access it.
2) Put the screwdriver through the slot to sit on top of that tab
3) Press DOWNWARDS on that tab
4) Pull the cover off!

Mine just fell out!! :rofl:

Process
1) Open boot and remove boot floor section to expose battery.
2) Fold roof into boot.
3) Power seat forward and disconnect seatbelt bolt.
4) Power seat-back forward.
5) Remove rear bolts.
6) Power seat back.
7) Remove front bolts.
8 ) Disconnect Negative terminal of battery.
9) Tilt seat back and remove wiring plugs.
10) Remove seat.

Installation is reversal of above. ** DO NOT RECONNECT THE BATTERY UNTIL YOU HAVE PLUGGED THE SEAT WIRING BACK IN **
