Hi Guys

Need to pay the plumber, the carpet guys, wren living for a new kitchen and my dad for helping refurb my new house...unfortunately along the way I ran out of cash so my favourite toys have to go as I owe the bank of mum and dad now and they "suggested" I sell the Z4!

Here's the link to the car on Pistonheads (ad expired so put link to original elms BMW dealer advert), it was bought from Elms stansted on beginning of this year and is an approved used car with all the HPI and inspection reports available. Genuine sale and a great car with no faults.

Thanks for looking!

Makes sense. Pay debts off first, then go looking at expensive toys.

Seems like strong money you are asking, have seen similar examples with top spec for around the 20k mark.

However, GLWTS all the same

Thanks for the comments Steve. As far as i'm aware this is top spec (or do you mean the 35i?). It has all the top grade packages and toys on it, BMW inclusive service left till next year too. I've only done 1000 miles in it as I have another car and here's the spec and original price from the dealer at £24295: http://1drv.ms/1mfKCbh

Well the BMW dealer must have ripped me off then! I'm losing £1500 for owning for a few months! What price would you put on it? I don't want to lose more than £2000!

Its not so much a rip off but you do have to pay more for the peace of mind for a AUC ( no really  )
& it goes across the board with all dealerships . For the most part they do offer low owner/low mileage cars that "should" be safer than risking the used car market privately . For that you must pay a premium & as a rough guide i would say anywhere between 10 & 30% more on the screen price at a dealer would not be out of the question .
Saying that my pal is in used sales at Bowkers & claim's their prices are now on a par with any other used car dealer & proof of that is they are selling more volume of cars now with less profit margin on each although get out your hankies  their commission has been reduced in line  terrible shame

Unfortunately yes with regards to a BMW franchise sticker price and a private sale price. You have to remember that the dealer would likley have made £1-2k profit on your car (maybe more). Selling privately, you will not be able to sell anywhere near dealer prices. Also worth bearing in mind, there are some seriously good offers at the minute on brand new Z4s - like a 28i for considerably less than £30k ! I have seen deals around £27k on Broadspeed. Some forum members have bought pre-registered cars for £25k or so and they weren't poverty spec either! With respect, as much as your car looks very nice, I wouldn't hesitate in spending not too much more from your price and buying a brand new car with all the benefits with it.......

It's only my opinion but I wouldn't be surprised if you need to drop another £1-2k or maybe even a more *ducks for cover* - it depends on how badly you need to sell it but bear in mind that your are asking strong money.

The other thing against you is that you bought around the height of summer and looking to sell in August......

Your car does looks stunning though and it does have low mileage 8)

Hi Guys

So I put it on Piston Heads for one month and you were right, not one bite. SOOOOOOooooooooooo new price £20995. I figure, dealer price of £24,295 less £2000 dealer markup, less £1300 cause it's a private sale now (even though still dealer warranty on the car and next service included)!

On a lighter note....the house looks great now :?

GLWTS i fear you maybe a little too late to get the best price now as people tend not to pay top doller for sports cars this time of year.

If you can afford to wait until spring next year you should have more luck selling it.
