Dont know if topic has already been covererd , but if so I apologise .
My roof is stuck closed. Took it to My local BMW dealer for investigation.
I quote ` Inspected hydraulic system and found hose to centre ram on driver side split '
Roof opened a inch. There is sign of oil behind drivers seat.
They admitted that they have not come across this problem before and I had a feeling that they did not particularly want to do it.
They came back with a sum of £4300 !!!
£950 for hydraulic set and the rest for labour.
Any of you folk have any experience with this ? Any advise would be greatly appreciated.
I am thinking of taking car to Cayman Autos in surrey who specialise in roofs, no indication of price however.
