E89 roof problem - how to disable waring beep

Interesting. I plan to change my battery (I have another post going re the age code), maybe need to look at the alternator too, as I suspect that the beep I’m getting is related to inconsistent power supply rather than the roof actually being unlatched. I can sometimes clear the error with my OBD device but it comes back after a few days, anyway I only get the beep when moving, all quiet as soon as the car comes to a halt, and so far it hasn’t stopped on any journey after a period of time.

Might now try pulling the audio fuse until I can:
a) get a battery
b) open the boot again
c) get the new battery coded.

I have to say that I’m really getting tired of these issues and it’s making me and the Mrs wonder whether to call time on our Z4 ownership…
I had a problem with my roof. The codes were related to the two hall sensors on the right hand ram. I replaced these but still got random bongs telling me my boot lid was not latched. I then replace the two micro switches for the boot latch. Job done and no more bongs. On inspection one of the micro switches was temperamental giving odd readings. Look through my posts for part numbers😎👍

Not had a sensor fail, but every time random bongs it was broken wires on the right side of roof.
When it bongs try pressing the wire bundle just behind right ear up in roof when sat in car as in my case it made the wires connect, bongs stopped and i knew straight away it was a broken wire(s).

Now the battery is in and coded I guess should take the car on a long run to ensure it gets fully charged.

Starting up it seems that the bong is still there intermittently so I’m taking on board the advice re broken wires but try as I might I can’t get the fuse tray thing to slide fully out so I can remove audio related fuses. Any tips?

When I dropped mine I had to remove a multi plug connector and re route it around a metal support, you could have the same problem, just note that when i did mine the wipers and alarm started going.
