E89 roof lights flashing.

I had problems with my roof and In june I had new wiring both sides in the roof. All well until today when as I closed the roof the close button is flashing and the roof won’t open again?
I’ll contact the repair company but any suggestions here?
 
Have you checked the roof shelf thingy in the boot is still seated properly? Lift it up and back down and see if that makes a difference. Mine did that once, no idea how/why.

Funny thing, like you I also had a weird situation happen yesterday with my roof, windows and boot !

Went for a short drive as the sun was out , with the roof down, but when I got home and pressed the close roof button ( engine running) it almost completed, but the windows only went half way and then dropped back down, and the roof had not fully clicked in to place plus the boot would not open!

I was just glad this was at my home :)

So the roof light buttons where showing red and green, and there was the 'ding' warning sound. I could open the roof , but it would not close fully and the windows also would not close.

So as I had my shopping in the boot, I was able to open the roof part way and take my shopping out, as the boot would not open !

I left the car and came back shortly to have another go , and well everything started to work as it should :)

No idea what the problem could be, but I have had past issues with a slightly discharged battery that would affect certain things depending on the voltage. ( mainly in winter, or lack of use, short journeys).

The joys of Z4 ownership :)
