You haven't had the car very long, it can take time to bond. I've driven my car 4000 miles and only now really starting to understand it fully.
Give it time and you will enjoy the car more - use the adaptive suspension, manual shift mode, etc - don't just stick it in D on normal
The Boxster is common, boring, suffers from various serious engine design faults (RMS/IMS to name two - and it's much more common than you might think). It might be a bit quicker around the corners, but as a longer term proposition the Z4 wins out and that's why you bought one.
