Imagine how much more he'd like it if it had a proper engine in it :P

I still enjoy my decision of an 28i over 35i :P

Its quicker, more nimble and cheeper to run.

I'll give you the last two... by a margin.

Well my little 2ltr although not standard - is quicker than 35i by a considerable margin - the 35i has the legs on my post 80 mph onwards.

A 35is is only 1/10th sec quicker from 0-100 Mph

:fuelfire:

However i would consider an 35is over my 28i

Find the idea of your 28i being "considerably" quicker than a 35i very hard to beleive lol. Got any numbers to back that up?

Running costs were never a factor when I bought mine, but you could always upgrade to an i3 if its important to you :P Maybe I'll get a 4 Pot one of these days, as I get older my hearings going so I guess I wont care what it sounds like then :fuelfire: :fuelfire:

You're getting predictable now, yawn :poke:

Being predictable doesn't make it untrue

As for going back to a 4 pot when you get older....Never ever go down market always strive for the best you can achieve :poke:

I was racing an 335D 350 BHP

Also at santa pod BMW Show 2016 the ony Z that was quicker than mine on the day was an 35is by 1/10th sec.

winning time of 13.7 secs whist my 4 pot achieved an respectable 13.8 secs.

My little 2lr was quicker of the mark than Alpina and Z4m's and 35i

The 35i should be trapping at 107 ish at around 13.3s

35is should be trapping at 110 - 112 at around 13.1s

Could just be that you had better tyres than them on the day, or yours were up to temp. Did you do any drag prep? No way a 35is should trap at 13.6 at 100mph lol. Driver skill plays a big part.

Either way your 28i is fast, but it isnt faster than a 35i in the 1/4 mile (dct assumed here), and its no where near the 35is

Thanks,

And I agree with you regarding driver - even on track the driver is the biggest factor on track.

The issue at Santa pod was traction - most big HP cars were struggling with getting power down

Go on, go for the 35is you won't regret it :D
