E89 Radio replacement no FM

Has anyone else replaced the radio and had issues with FM ? I have tried 2 Fakra to din adapters and get no fm reception, replaced original bmw one and fine reception so aerial and booster must be ok, do I need and special adapter to enable to booster with a replacement unit ?
any idea's gratefully received.

If its like most BMW audio /system stuff they are dasiy chained /interlocked via the canbus and/or device supplied power supply logic..

Therefore its likley that removing the BMW head unit one way or another removes power to the diversity unit that drives the FM aerials!!

thanks, I think the blue/white provides power and on further investigation it seem the wheel control adapter doesn't take the blue/white from the radio iso connector back to the bmw connector !! thanks

Hope you can sort it out..TIS. Has all you need, you just to find the right version,,there are many versions.. :thumbsup:
