35i, you’ll never regret the last of the proper gearboxes

From elsewhere on the Forum:

"Been driving my Z4 for a couple days now. Decided to get the manual gearbox and absolutely love it.
However my commute to work can take over an hour with a lot being stuck in deadlock traffic. Compared to other manuals I’ve driven the clutch seems to be quite heavy with a lot of travel distance to go fully down."

Ah yeah wouldn’t get a manual if it’s a daily commuter tbh, I guess I’m in a lucky position where the Z is a total for fun car..
For years in the past previously had an Mx5 and the fun factor was key, sideways out of junctions and such a laugh…
Came into Z ownership here thinking I needed the same but in a Z tbh. As I’m too old now 😂

With all cars and bikes it takes time to get used to them. I think that automatics are great for daily commuters. However with cars like the Z4, it’s not fuel efficient, it’s not the best in all weather and it’s not a great commuter but it’s great fun to drive. For a drivers car like the Z4, I think the manual suits perfectly. However in my 3 series I would say the exact opposite, an automatic makes perfect sense in that car.

I’m in a position where I have to have a small car to park easily but I still want something fun. Regarding prices, I have no idea but looking at historical prices, I think all the cars listed on here are very reasonable.
