E89 Noisy Boot unlocking

Hi Guys,

I have a 2013 20i. Just how much noise should the boot make when it unlocks? Mines pretty noisy, not quite a grinding noise, but it makes more noise than I’d expect. Is something on the way out? Or are they all noisy?

If it sounds like an electric motor workimg hard then it’s ok…

It’s when you get no sound then you worry..

Yep, Working hard is a good description! I’ve also found a vid on YouTube and it seems they all sound like that. Thanks for the info
