Didn't the one in Wales with the battery problems fetch that much, with higher mileage?

It was £8k or around there from what I can remember - we all though battery but could have been anything wrong with the roof

Nice low mileage in mitigation!

Where had it been for last 9 years, did an employee put it in a container/lockup and then lost the key and got the sack
A very nice extremely low mileage 35is but £33000. Really :headbang:

Press release car owned by BMW since new - so it's been ragged senseless by journo's for 1800 miles then stuck in a warehouse for nearly 10 years. How much damage can you do to a car in 1800 miles? No idea. BMW warranty for 2 years is great, but I'm not sure I'd be buying this as a car - you'd probably want to know more about how BMW have looked after it while not in use, or what they've done to recommission. As an investment, you're probably better off sticking your £33k into amazon shares...

2012, 1.8k miles - £32k. Even then, seriously having a laugh!

But apparently a ‘fair’ price according to AT.

Yep that's what is just above - absolutely bonkers as they reckon is a grand above market average, not certain what market they are looking at

Really wish I had kept my 2016 35is now.
Had all the extras and I sold it 2 years ago. Would have only had 30k on clock. Arrrghhhh. Crazy prices.

The Autotrader value assessment is just an algorithm based on age and mileage - it doesn't really work on something so unusual as that 1,800 mile Z4. Hard to say what it's worth because there's little to compare it to.

But, other cars are now crazy prices too. An Alfa 4c was about £35k two years ago with 10k-ish mileage and there were plenty for sale. Now there's a dozen up and all but one of them are around £44k plus. Similar with TT-RS, SLK55 AMG etc. 18 months ago my Ford Focus with 30,000 miles was worth £6k. Now it's got 49,000 on the clock and it's worth... £6k.

So if you sold it to buy another car, you probably wouldn't have ended up with anything better if you'd sold it today instead.

That is true - I bought mine with 74k on the clock for £10k, I can get £10.5 from WBAC but to replace it now it is £13 to £14k so I would be far worse off so time to stick for now

This one is £18k for a 14 plate 20i - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/373655995730?hash=item56ffa20552:g:Qd8AAOSwbvlg99Hc
