E89 Market watch

FIRST SIGNS OF THE MARKET COOLING?
2 cars reduced in price this morning
1) 2010 35i 62k miles at stealers reduced form £16k to £15390
https://www.exchangeandmart.co.uk/ad/26544336?utm_term=44561&utm_content=dealer&utm_source=newsnow&utm_medium=aggregator&utm_campaign=general
2) 2010 30i 42k miles from £14 495 to £13995
https://www.motors.co.uk/car-60133367/?utm_source=newsnow&utm_medium=marketplace&utm_campaign=all-vehicles

Both manuals
OR just overpriced in first place-certainly the 35i has a scarcity value and one year warranty from a BMW dealer worth £1k plus. Certainly wouldn't buy a 2009/10 35i without the warranty

Both over priced and the 35i in the worst colour to sell. iMO this is just prices being reduced towards a more realistic level to sell stock that’s not shifting. I also think they’re both going to have to drop even further so do so.

That's Tan which is quite nice and probably pretty rare as well

I had the tan leather in my 30i and really liked it - it's not as orangey in the flesh as those photos suggest, IMO. That one does look like better value.

Looks far better value than almost any on the market right now

Agreed, it looks like most of what's up there now is either dealers in no rush to sell, and a few privates who probably just advertised them to see if they could get silly money and aren't bothered if they sell at all.

Is really about as much as I want to spend, but a few more miles than I ideally want and it only comes with 4 months MOT and there were a few advisories, unless they ve been rectified
Tyre worn close to legal limit/worn on edge Both rear. (5.2.3 (e))
Nearside Front Tyre wearing low.
Offside Rear Shock absorbers light misting of oil or has limited damping effect (5.3.2 (b))
Rear brake discs slightly worn.

Looks nice though and on reflection maybe the tan interior is ok if less orange than the photos

Might be worth asking the seller if he/she is willing to get a new mot on it with all advisories clear. For that price I'd be expecting it to be in tip top condition. Would also be interesting to know what work has been done previously and whether it's currently under any kind of warranty.

Mine had exactly the same suspension advisory a couple of years ago and that cost £2k to be rectified. Add in a couple of discs and 4 new tyres and the car is more like £25/26k.

Don't think they did the Atacama Yellow after 2011. Pity, would love a newer version myself.

And at that sort of money only another few grand and you might be able to persuade [ref]ronk[/ref], to part with his 66 plate 13,700 mile one

Was thinking of that but he wants to keep his for summer I think unless he had an offer he could not refuse
