Is the bubble bursting maybe?

I’d say it’s at a realistic market price now and is pretty much spot on for that car IMO.

I think the higher/inflated prices were people jumping on the back of the Sytner valuation policy but these overpriced cars weren’t, and still aren’t, selling whereas this is now bang on the money and should sell pretty quickly now.

I saw a private sale 2010 @ £19k last night. That is a £15-£15.75k car all day long. It’ll remain for sale until the price comes down towards £16k.

If that's the grey one with red interior Andy, that's the one that was advertised here a couple of weeks ago at 16k and sold within 48 hours or so - they chap who bought it then posted on Facebook that he wasn't sure it was the car for him, which was odd - possibily a pre-cursor to then flipping it for several thousand quid more.

Could be a different car of course as the flipped 19k one disappeared from FB marketplace the next day for some reason.

Tim, you’re 100% correct, I never paid much attention once I’d seen the price

Even though it’s much cleaner and better presented than the original ad, it’s still grossly overpriced

Summer is supposedly here and no dealer will want to be stuck with a convertible over winter. The window of opportunity is narrowing.

It is, but it’s now at the price it should’ve been in the 1st instance. I’d expect it to move quite quickly now

Agreed, there are quite a few out there at stupid prices right now, that 20i VO in Scotland for £23k is another which needs to drop £5 or £6k to get where it needs to be :|

Good evening all. Just spotted another late 35is for nearly £30K, not Sytner this time:

https://usedcars.bmw.co.uk/vehicle/202106113750604?quoteref=2705ac88-6a6b-4c1e-a0ea-c8b9198ecd5a

I think I shall just wait a bit, surely they cannot keep commanding these prices?!

That must be pretty similar to [ref]ronk[/ref], one.

Being one of the last ones and fully loaded those ones definitely command a premium.

They were selling for high 20’s even before the other ones started rising

Yes very similar - except mine is Sept 16 and has only 13.5k miles

There you go then Ron, a reasonably good indicator of the price point for yours

Your not wrong!
Is still got the warranty until September as well.
From order to the delivery date of yours ( assuming it arrives on time) will be how long Andy ?

Ron, I ordered on the 4th of May and delivery to the dealership is 18th-21st June with 2/3 days to turn it around. I’m picking it up on the 26th through choice but I’ll’’ probably be ready a few days before that

It arrived in the U.K. on 7th of June but the transporters don’t run up to Scotland as regularly. If down south the dealer would have got it 3/5 days earlier.

It might all hinge on a good deal on a new m40i- but as you know there’s my daughter and our granddaughters current problem to sort. Its all quite tempting tho!

Absolutely, you’ve definitely got more important things going on, yours is one that will retain its value for some time yet

I sold my first E85 tö a friend and he is still a friend. I had every confidence in that car so was relaxed in selling it tö the fella. - I have more confidence in this car as nobody else has owned it and I admit I was the dealers nightmare when I bought it in Sept 16
