And finally I spoke to the guy selling the CAT C one below, it looks amazing on paper !!! I did offer him 9k on the phone and he said yes on the spot (if I pick up before the week end!!!). It is miles away from me (In the Leeds area and I am in Berks) and for him to drop 1k just like that :!: kind of made me vveeerrryyy suspicious ( bearing in mind he is an independent trader :!: :!: :!: :!: :!: :!: )

That's a very nice looking Z4. Now, if only it were in blue or black.... Trouble is, almost all of the dark coloured cars have cream coloured interior trim. That just doesn't work for me; I'd be seeing dirty marks everywhere, whether they were or not
The ad says 18" 325 wheels, they are 19" 326 wheels.
Just in case you were looking for 18" wheels.

Don't buy it mate, bad deal, red coffin on wheels.
It's 50k mileage, manual, CAT C and it's in Red. The red colour alone knocks off 1 or 2K of the value. Most likely you're the only caller in a while which is why the dealer was happy to take off a grand. Remember that £1k would have been profit from him and dealers don't even like taking £250 off. You should increase your budget a bit and get yourself a decent example.

Interesting - I thought red was a popular colour?

Only 17 35i's currently on Piston Heads, four actually listed as sold and one a cat D, so hopefully they'll maintain their premium a little more, we'll at least until we sell our one later in the year

This one's interesting, apparently it's very rare as it comes with matching nail varnish  At least the hands look cleaner than the car's bodywork.

Interesting to see what happens with e89 prices.

I'm in a dilemma at the mo as to whether I keep mine or sell and get an older (05/06) boxster. Or maybe put a litlte towards an M roadster?

If prices are dropping, it might not be wise at the mo. Maybe they'll stabilise when/if they stop production.

Production stopped in August Dude, you can't buy a new one now.

That looks like a bargain - I paid more than that for my last E86 in May on similar miles (but I know which I prefer)!

I think they have already stopped E89 production - I'm sure someone on here said BMW stopped taking orders in August.

ETA john-e89 beat me to it!

Cheers guys. Maybe prices will stabilise a little then.

Hummm, do I keep the zed or go for the porker?

So tempting to go for a Porker isn't it, big thrills for a low ish price. However the bills if they go wrong are truly horrendous. I had an 80k mile 04 3.2s for 6 months, got rid as the potential costs made my eyes water. Bloody awesome car though, I didn't mind the crap interior, runs rings round a Zed, and easier to live with than an M. It's a gamble definitely, and one that will bite you hard if you lose.

That's really interesting, as that's what I was thinking porker wise but with less miles. What are the inherent problems?

Hi, they seem to suffer from oval/scored bores causing oil burning & power loss-that's on top of the gearbox bearing which seems to fail randomly
I was considering a Cayman until I started to read of £10k engine rebuilds hitting owners-it doesn't seem rare either
