E89 Manual 23i/30i/35i with higher miles wanted please

For my brother, I said I would post it up on here. He prefers DCT but would consider manual and has around £12k to spend for a car with 80k-ish miles. I know an S is unlikely but hopefully someone has a 35i that fits the bill.

Revised: now also considering a 23i/30i or 35i Manual, not DCT, I have managed to convince him manual is better for touring the Alpine passes! DSP would be lovely too!

He missed a 35is on Autotrader which had 80k miles and was £14k, there is a 80k 35i with a dealer for £14k now but they are way up north and we'd rather buy direct from an owner for a bit less!

Wow that's a good price. Didn't know they had come down so far. Makes mine seem very expensive.

Ours is on 35k miles and id never let it go for less than 16k

Is yours an i or an iS? The iS that sold was a bargain even though it was fairly low spec, but the 35i is still quick enough and a few more of them about.

You are not going to find a 35i for 12k no matter where you look, there aren't that many about and it will be a 2009 model so unless it is a complete shed and has a starship mileage I would have a rethink :)

LInk to the dealer 14k version perhaps would help to see what type of car that is?

I think 12-13k is right for a car with 80-90,000 miles. Just look at how many are for sale around £18k with 20,000 ish miles.

Hmmm you might get lucky but there aren't many around at 18k with 20,000 on the clock the one below is the cheapest 35i on Autotrader with low miles and that is £19,750

Look again mate, Soper of Lincoln (main dealer so premium over private) have a 23,000 miler for £18990. We don't want a low miler or minter, this car will be used to thrash across the alps!

After all that debate, anyone have a high miler to sell???

That one at Soper has sold as I have a deposit on it :) Autotrader put the advert back in by mistake! just waiting for them to get the V5 back for it and to touch up a couple of bits on it, it is a lovely car and I hope I can pick it up next weekend so for a main dealer with a warranty I think it was a very good price indeed and they said they had loads of enquiries on it but I moved fast and whacked a deposit down without viewing it, good luck with your search and I can't think of a better car to drive across the Alps

Well done, nice car!

Thanks  the inside is like new :) it had too poor repairs to two alloys so they are getting them refurbished and it just needs a good clean and a couple of scratches polishing out, it was my first drive in an E89 with that fab auto box and it did feel soooooo good  we are going up high into the Scottish Highlands in May and that car will be perfect, keep us posted on your search for one

A year and a half ago when we were looking for a Z there was one for sale for around £12,000.
Dont think it was a 35i or 35is but it was cheap.
I think what made it so cheap was it had cloth seats and little else.
There cant be many around without leather.
We considered it for a minute thinking we could source leather seats or have them recovered but in the end wanted an m-sport version.

Will do, enjoy the road trip. Brother is moving back to Europe and we plan to do a couple of Euro trips, that is what these cars are for!

That car looks like an massive bargain !! but it says trim cloth and looks like red leather to me.

Best car for two to grand tour the alps in. I'm itching to get back this year as last was so amazing in the z compared to the lotus.
