Once the torx screws are out, I will disconnect the battery (and leave for 1/2 an hour to remove any airbag worries. Then, door cards typically just prise off with a wide headed blade.

Are you concerned that you might short something in the door?

My tweeters have now arrived, so hopefully I can get these installed once the rain stops!

So.. I'm the proud new owner of a Z4 with top door tweeters on a standard system.

Improves the top end no end. Very nervy taking the doors apart, but thanks to diagrams from realoem and a cheap set of interior trim removal tools it all came off without a hitch.

It really is a simple push fit scenario, an extra pair of hands would have made things quicker to hold the door trim etc while sorting the wiring, but it's do-able single handed.

I just hope there's no new rattles tho!!

Where did you buy your interior trim removal tools? I bought a set of plastic pry tools (for removing the front BMW emblem) from amazon for £13 yesterday. It is called "Bojo White Plastic Car Interior Trim Clip Pry Tool Kit".
