E89 dash cam wiring

I'v had the Z for a few days now and want to wire in the dash cam from my old car (a bog standard nextbase one), I have found plenty of how to's for the E85/86, but haven't found much info on installing one in an E89 so was hoping for a bit of advice from someone who has done it before.

I was thinking of powering it from the USB port in the glove box which I assume is just live with the ignition. Unless there is there somewhere else easily accessible with either a permanent or switched 12v feed?

I was then going the feed the power cable inside the a-pillar trim, through the trim at the top of the windscreen and out just behind the mirror. It all seems easy enough to do, except getting the wire from the glove box up into the a-pillar to start with. Can anyone tell me if the end panel of the dash (the one with the airbag switch) is removable?

Thanks in advance :)

Across the top I did have to remove the trim behind the sun shield. Couple of torx behind blank plates. Just poke the wire around the trim, that's all I did and pull off the door seal poke behind and replace trim.. Then run under and around the trim under the side of the under arm rest 12v socket. All wiring hidden.

As above....fuses 6-10 I think.....whichever that second numbered row is.....they are all ignition live. I think I used the aircon fuse (5amp) to piggyback.

Did mine a few days ago. Took about 30 mins.
