Hopefully will be looking at a couple of E89's this week :

Will mean a whole day travelling to view but hopefully will be worth it - both have good points ie the colour :D the mileages are both higher than I would have liked but once again it will be a weekend toy so shouldn't be a real issue - my heart goes with the 3 litre but the 2 litre is 2 years newer and 30k miles less and only another £1k or so - paying cash so no part ex so might be some wiggle room :D

close up pics of the 2litre looks like the alloys could do with a refurb - both will probably need new tyres - is it the same with the E89 ie ditch the runflats for non run flats ?

Also am aware that the 2 litre could be remapped to increase the performance although down here you can only do 60 mph max except for a 200 yard stretch on our only dual carriageway

Thoughts

Thoughts are the links are the same :P & a tough choice ahead as both cars have great merits & as you will no doubt cover few miles per year / ownership i can't see either giving you any significant problems

What a knobhead I am - must have been a senior moment there

Have now edited :D

I wouldn't go for either tbh  there really is a glut of E89s 2.0i & 3.0i , unless you specifically want Se seats id look for a sport seated car :(

Hi Gov, have you seen kugarman1’s car in the classifieds?

You wouldn''t say that if you broke your homeward journey with a stay over in the Trough of Bowland  plus the following 3,4,5,6 years when you owned the car
Always worth the travel for the right car , just ask "Lynchy" :poke:

Nothing like a decent road trip home to start the ownership adventure off, that car needs saving from the dealers 8)

After my three month nightmare of trying to find a nice 35is to own i willingly travelled to Swansea to pick up my Zed. I would willingly travel twice the distance if I had to do it again to end up with the zed I have.

You would be mad to go for either when kugarman1's is available, no matter where it is. You have plenty of time afterwards to drive around that tiny island of yours
