E89 Boot roundel removal?

Hi all,

has anyone replaced the roundel on the boot of thier E89? Is it pinned on, or just stuck?

The actual badge on mine has some water ingress so i'm going to replace. I did consider just sticking a drill in the middle of it, but thought i'd ask if anyone else has removed thiers first.

Hair dryer and dental floss is supposed to work well, though I've not tried it.
