I think for VO you could go black with w small VO stripe like you are continuing the seat pattern.
It wouldn't work on DSB imoI'm going to skin them in matte carbon fibre. So going with that on the hoops would tie in well.
When I had mine done - I was advised NOT to wrap them - I only really had the option was of them been painted.
