Hi all,

I'm keeping my E89 for one more year I think, then swapping to Porsche next spring. In order to 'have a change' after the past 3 years, I'm thinking of going black bmw grills and refurbing the wheels to black. - just for a different look.

anyone got any pics of a space grey E89 with any of these attributes pls?

Thanks in advance! :)

Question is, will you be "Cayman One ", or "Boxster One" or "911 one" ? :D

That dear pvr depends on:

How much of a dent my new kitchen makes in the fund
Then it comes down to whether I can see a 911 as my daily driver. I can with a Cayman S. - pretty easy to live with.

- I don't want a boxster. :D

oh- if yiu haven't seen Autocar this week, there is a page on the 911 50. Looks good

No - not seen that. Is that hardcopy as I could not find it online?

Re the daily - I sure could not have the 911 Convertible as a daily (my loaner last weekend) as you have no rear view at all. The car was actually easier to drive than my M (partly because of that PDK gearbox I suppose), but a hell of a lot more difficult to get out of :D Loved the permanent on PDC around the car, so when on a narrow lane another car would be coming towards you, it is very easy to hug the side of the road without scraping the car.

I drove the Cayman as well and I am afraid it did nothing for me in comparison. But obviously there is a reason for the price difference, so some things just have to give. Whether that is enough for you to sway either way, I don't know.

911 - for me would only be Targa. Its the running cost of high miles that I need to weight up. I may settle for CaymanS as tge dd and buy a Bmw s1000r for weekend. (Porsche no match in the fun dept :D :D :D )
